Apology to the Future

This is just an apology note from the year of ninety-four.
The people increase at a rate of knots; we've more people at our door.
We've wrecked our world - it's unstoppable now, the damage we have done;
When you find this Time Capsule, there'll be no more time for fun.
Greenpeace, conferences, children at school, have tried to do their best,
Cleaning beaches, streets and towns - trying to put minds at rest.
We take a lot for granted, animals, birds and trees;
We pick and kill and destroy.. accept my apology, please?
